This Privacy Policy explains how the PromptVault browser extension ("PromptVault", "we", "us") handles your information. We built PromptVault to be private by design.

1. The prompts you save

Your prompts are stored locally in your own browser using the browser's storage. We do not upload, read, transmit, sell, or have any access to the prompts you save. They never leave your device.

2. Information collected for the Pro upgrade

PromptVault offers an optional paid "Pro" upgrade. Payments are handled by our payment provider, ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe to process payments.

If you choose to upgrade to Pro, the following is collected by ExtensionPay/Stripe:

Your email address — used to identify your license and confirm your Pro status.
Your payment details — handled entirely by Stripe on their secure checkout pages. PromptVault never sees or stores your card information.

PromptVault only receives whether your account is "paid" or not, so it can unlock Pro features. If you never upgrade, no personal information is collected at all.

3. How we use information

To provide and unlock the Pro features you purchased.
To process and confirm your payment.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to PromptVault, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

4. Tracking

PromptVault does not track your browsing activity, your web history, or your activity on other websites.

5. Data retention & deletion

Prompts live on your device and are removed when you delete them or remove the extension. For payment-related data held by ExtensionPay/Stripe, or to request deletion of your email, contact us at the address below.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
